It’s never to late

In the 1940s, there was a man who, at the age of 65, was living off of $99 social security checks in a small house, driving a beat-up car.

He decided it was time to make a change, so he thought about what he had to offer that other people may benefit from. His mind went to his fried chicken recipe, which his friends and family loved.

He left his home state of Kentucky and traveled throughout the country, trying to sell his recipe to restaurants. He even offered the recipe for free, asking for only a small chunk of the money that was earned.

However, most of the restaurants declined his offer. In fact, 1,009 restaurants said no.

But even after all of the rejections, he persisted. He believed in himself and his chicken recipe.

When he visited restaurant #1,010, he got a YES.

That man was none other than Colonel Hartland Sanders!.

Moral of the story:

There are a few lessons that you can take away from this story. First, it’s never too late in life to find success. In a society that often celebrates young, successful people, it’s easy to start to think you’re never going to be successful after a certain age. However, Colonel Sanders is an example that proves that argument wrong

This story also demonstrates the power of persistence. You have to have confidence in yourself and believe in your work for other people to believe it also. Disregard anyone who tells you “no” and simply move on.

Life and death are in the power of your words. (Think before you speak)

Universal thoughts

• I’m not good enough
• I’m not worthy enough
• I’m not a good enough parent, I should be doing so much better
• I am a horrible human being, and I should feel guilty about that.

Let’s be honest, all of us at some point during the day, the week, or the month think like this, maybe even these very thoughts

It this is you, know that you are NOT alone, this is human nature (sadly).

The words that we think or say to ourselves on an everyday basis have the power to either bring life and make your day/week positive or bring death, the choice is up to us, for some, maybe even many, we have let our words be death to our souls/spirits

What happened to many of us? Gone are the childish, childhood days where little girls referred to themselves as a princess or looked in the mirror and smiled because we just knewwww we were little divas and to hot to trot and we were just as beautiful as can be, but then we began to grow up and it became, oh gosh I’m to fat or If I wear this will they notice me? Or I wish i had his/her figure or whatever the case may be, but as we’ve grown up, we have mentally in some little way gained some sense of insecurity.

Proverbs 18:21 says: Death and life are in the power of the tongue. On a daily basis can we or could we honestly say that we are bringing ourselves life?

Instead of filling our hearts and emotions with the lies and negative feelings that we experience we must start to speak over ourselves. The Bible declares that we are FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE.

From this moment on, I want us to be bold in reminding ourselves of who we are, from this day forward let us make better attempts to guard our tongue/our thoughts/our words, when you find that you are having negative thoughts, begin to counter those thoughts and speak positive thoughts to yourself.

It starts with our thoughts, when we begin to change our thoughts, then our actions follow (Be transformed by the renewing of your mind), begin to walk with your head held high, I promise you, by changing your mind, it will begin to show out and bless your home, your life, your job, your friendships, relationship, there will be a change.

The importance of positive thinking

Positive thinking is a mental and emotional attitude that focuses on the brighter side of life and produces positive results. A positive person participates or competes with a healthy mindset and is always successful happy and smiling but also helps in building skill.

Positive emotions like joy, contentment and love remove the obstacles in our life and we are likely to see more possibilities the biggest benefit of positive emotions is that it makes a person see his/her actual abilities and develop these for use in later life. With a positive attitude, we experience pleasant and happy feelings. It has a direct effect on our health and provides us with a huge amount of every. It enhances our daily behaviour like how we talk, feel and react. A negative person is likely to be narrow-minded and focused on negative thought this creating troubles in life.

Positive thinking is not very hard to attain as it can be done through a constant and conscious effort of an individual. We might also get affected by someone instinctively and on a subconscious level, through words, thoughts or feeling. Positive thinking is a ww6lay of living life with comfort and is 99% effective. People like staying with positive people as they are more trustworthy and helpful. So, to use this weapon in life a person needs more than just to be aware of its existence. he needs to adopt the attitude of positivity in everything he does.

2020 my thoughts and testimony

2020 has been like a constant series of unfortunate events, as the months progressed it seemed like things never let up but Instead they only got worse

Dealing with life in my own way for the most part was easy because I was kept occupied by work and my children so nothing really changed, then March 13th, 2020 news broke of the death of an INNOCENT Black UNARMED female who was at home sleeping!!!!! Shot to death with several bullets, that news devastated me. Now, I’m not now nor have I ever been a political person online. I tend to keep my thoughts to myself so I just prayed that justice would be served in it’s due season, fast forward, some time goes by and news breaks again of an unarmed black man who was killed by cops for what started out as a fraudulent $20.00 bill which was found out to be legit, he was then dragged out of his car and asphyxiated and killed by cops when bystanders screamed and cries and begged and pleaded for that mans life but those cops didn’t care, that day was the day that my love for blogging, my love for being a light and an encouragement and an inspiration to others DIED!

I found it extremely hard to encourage myself much less anyone else when the question that I kept battling with was, WHY Bother? What’s the point? I felt the need to just STOP, no more blogging, no more positive Fb posts, hardly a smile from day to day but recently I found myself questioning myself

So that’s it huh? You’ve just decided to lay die and let your thoughts and feelings get the best of you? That’s it huh? The cares of life and the pain you’ve been feeling are going to be the thing that stops you from doing what makes you happy? The thing that takes your smile? The thing that causes you to no longer be a lighthouse to others?

I felt like I had just been hit with a complete conviction, I had to reach way down deep, shake myself loose and realize that, although these things are real and they are happening, I am not the only one with feelings of anger and hurt and confusion, there are others out there who may indeed feel the same way, giving up on writing/blogging, not wanting to smile is pretty silly of me, someone once said “our smile is not our own”, you never know who needs to see you smile from day to day because they may be dealing with a silent storm that no one knows about, I guess the same can be said about blogging. You never know who may be going through some things and just so happens at the worst moment to stumble onto your blog and it may make a world of difference.

So today, the lesson for me has to fight through it, cry and be angry but keep pushing, keep going and don’t miss the blessings or the testimony that may well come out of the storm.

Everyone be encouraged and be blessed ❤❤❤❤❤❤

The group of frogs (encouragement)

As a group of frogs was traveling through the woods, two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs crowded around the pit and saw how deep it was, they told the two frogs that there was no hope left for them.

However, the two frogs decided to ignore what the others were saying and they proceeded to try and jump out of the pit.

Despite their efforts, the group of frogs at the top of the pit were still saying that they should just give up. That they would never make it out.

Eventually, one of the frogs took heed to what the others were saying and he gave up, falling down to his death. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die.

He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, “Did you not hear us?”

The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time

Moral of the story:

People’s words can have a big effect on other’s lives. Think about what you say before it comes out of your mouth. It might just be the difference between life and death.
